Senior Digital Strategist
Trilogy Interactive is a full-service digital agency. For over a decade, we have stood at the forefront of the digital revolution in the Democratic political and nonprofit space. We’re reshaping what’s possible in the world of politics through our award-winning programs for campaigns, nonprofits, and organizations.
We are a team of dynamic, diverse, and passionate Democrats who work with some of the biggest names in politics. We tell stories that turn heads. We win progress when it matters the most. And now, we want you to join us! We are looking for a West Coast–based Senior Digital Strategist to join our team, preferably residing in the Bay Area of California.
Do you love building long-term relationships? Are you constantly frustrated with how bad campaigns are at building compelling social media programs? Do you look at ads in your news feed and think, “I wonder what they did for targeting? Why did they choose this piece of creative?” Do you have experience managing digital projects to meet aggressive deadlines and goals? If so, throw your hat in the ring and apply to be our newest account leader today.
Role Details
As a Senior Digital Strategist, you will manage client teams to deliver industry-leading results for a host of political, advocacy, and nonprofit clients. Drawing on your experience with Democratic politics, digital media, and project management, you will develop innovative digital advocacy and advertising campaigns that shape your community and the country’s future.
Responsibilities
The Senior Digital Strategist will be expected to:
- Manage relationships with 4-7 clients, including leading conference calls, preparing agendas, managing approvals, and overseeing budgets
- Manage organic social media strategy and execution for progressive candidates, causes, and campaigns — supporting content creation, managing posting schedules, engaging with audiences, and tracking performance to advance campaign goals
- Work with Trilogy’s leading ad buying, creative, and production teams to deploy robust digital programs across a host of platforms (email, ads, social, etc.)
- Coordinate content and creative development (including social media, advertising, email, and multimedia content), production, reporting, and optimization of clients' campaign plans
- Manage client documentation, team resources, and internal approvals for all client deliverables, manage the client approval process, and oversee related project management tasks to ensure deadlines are met and deliverables are completed to standard
- Maintain the integrity and distribution of large amounts of confidential data
- Research, test, and implement new digital advertising and marketing strategies and tactics
- Attend client events as needed
- Support business development initiatives as needed (drafting or editing proposals, networking, etc.)
- Complete time sheets on a daily basis
Qualifications
People with varied experience, backgrounds, and interests can excel at this position, though previous digital marketing experience is a must. Here are a few traits that a successful Digital Strategist will bring to the table.
- You have experience: You are familiar with digital marketing/content strategy best practices and have experience running ad projects (television, print, and/or digital ads) and organic social media programs. You have at least three election cycles of experience in email marketing, progressive politics, issue advocacy, organizing, or labor. Note: This is not an entry level position.
- You are organized: You are comfortable guiding multiple people through dozens of tasks and assignments at once without ever missing a beat — and enjoy developing systems to ensure that nothing falls through the cracks.
- You love building relationships: Your communications, whether in person or by phone or email, aren't just about the next task. They develop long-term rapport with clients, partners, and fellow team members.
- You are curious: You not only come up with creative new strategic ideas, you seek out knowledge on emerging trends in the space and bring them to your projects. You aren't just interested in checking boxes; rather, you continually push your team to test out new strategies that improve results.
- You thrive in a team environment: You find satisfaction in the success of the overall team and believe in fostering positivity, collaboration, and open communication. You are proactive and excel at problem solving. You can collaborate respectfully with teammates under tight deadlines.
